What is Capoeira?

Capoeira is a traditional art form that originated in Brazil. It that has elements of martial-arts, acrobatics and music that anyone regardless of age, gender or skill level can enjoy. We work on Capoeira movements that is played in harmony with music and train movements that helps develop coordination and flexibility of the body. Capoeira is practiced globally and can be enjoyed with other capoeristas from different countries and all walks of life.

What is special about MSC?

Our group in Japan welcomes all styles of Capoeira (e.g. Capoeira Angola, Regional, Contemporânea) and we have many capoerista friends and connections in other countries. We often receive guests from overseas that visits Japan and we help host special events and workshops for the Capoeira community within Tokyo. What also makes us special is our friendly community where you can easily make local and international friends. Classes are held 1 minute walk from Kamakura Station, so you can easily come from Ofuna, Totsuka or Shonan area such as Fujisawa.

¥1,000 per adult
¥700 per kid
¥1,300 per family

For Regular Members
1. Sports Insurance (Recommended) While we prioritize safety in every class, we recommend purchasing sports group insurance in case of unexpected injuries.
2. Uniform / Practice Wear (Recommended)
Note: Please contact us if you would like to purchase a official uniform (T-shirt / pants).
– Official Graduations (Batizado): Full uniform required (top and bottom).
– Regular Classes: Any comfortable sportwear.
